Job Title: Pallet Shop Operations Manager
Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000, including incentives

Summary/objective: Directs and coordinates DTS Pallets personnel and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Responsible for training personnel to operate equipment and follow safety procedures for efficiency. Responsible for marketing and growth of DTS Pallets. This role understands sound business and financial principles, with incentive given for growth in revenue.

· Management – Lead, guide, and direct team to complete tasks while balancing and problem-solving multiple issues at once. Ability to maintain focus throughout the workday. Adheres to safety standards and practices.
· Business skills – Understand DTS Pallets is a for-profit company that relies on advertising, marketing, and networking. Ability to make and build connections in the transportation industry. Desire to learn the board spectrum of DTS Pallets business to the benefit of all. Ability to learn company software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, twist, and bend. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or control and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Education & Experience
· Four (4) years manufacturing/production management or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
· Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to read and understand performance data and profit/loss statements. Identify costs and margins.
· Reasoning ability: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and variables.
· Clean driving record
· Knowledgeable in proper loading and unloading and strapping techniques
· Understand and manage the safe operation of all shop tools and equipment (disassembler, chop saw, platter, notcher, pneumatic nail gun, pallet jack, forklift, two-wheeler, hand tools—wrenches, screwdriver, etc., two-way radio
Preferred Education & Experience
· Gain knowledge of hard wood and soft wood
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule without regular assigned days off
