We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team at our headquarters in Billings, MT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the transportation industry and a proven track record in a senior role. This individual will streamline budgeting processes, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The Controller will also produce comprehensive financial reports for senior management and profit center managers.
Pay: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly comprehensive financial reports to ownership and profit center managers.
- Develop and enhance financial controls.
- Maximize the efficiency of accounting processes through innovation and technology.
- Identify and monitor KPIs at the profit center level to improve financial performance.
- Manage and develop the finance team.
Develop and implement the shared services department to support other operating entities.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting.
- Experience with multi-state payroll.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax reporting.
